Alpha, Omega and Serenity : Our Healthcare plans are designed to cover you for the more expensive medical costs associated with in-patient treatment, along with benefits such as rehabilitation treatment, out-patient surgery, nursing at home and medical evacuation.
Out-patient Plans :
Cover for ‘day to day’ or routine treatments such as visits to your doctor, diagnostic tests, vaccinations and specialist fees. Out-patient Plans are included in Omega and Serenity.
Maternity Plans : Cover for routine maternity and complications of childbirth.
Dental Plans : To help you reduce your dental healthcare bills.
Repatriation Plan :
This plan offers medical repatriation. This means that if the necessary treatment for which you are covered is not available locally, you can return to your home country for treatment, rather than to the nearest appropriate medical centre.

  • We operate a free 24 hour, 7 day week medical advice service, MediLine. This service offers you immediate telephone access to an experienced English speaking medical team at any time of the day or night. This service provides you with comprehensive medical advice and information, such as: - Pre and post-operative treatment advice - Advice and information on a range of lifestyle issues e.g. nutrition and dietary information; sports injuries; advice on smoking and alcohol - Travel health information pre and post travel e.g. vaccinations - Patient drug information e.g. advice on medication usage and reaction

  • Members can expect: - Fully completed claims to be processed, payment issued and members notified within 48 hours. - Payments by either cheque or funds transfer in over 100 currencies to almost any country in the world - No bank charges or delays in clearing of cheques - Direct settlement of in-patient claims, where possible

  • We provide our members with access to a network of over 3,800 medical providers (hospitals, medical clinics etc.) in our worldwide network outside of the USA.   • This in-house team of medical professionals oversees the Treatment Guarantee process. They check that the treatment you are receiving is appropriate, medically necessary, and ensure that all treatments, medical evacuations and repatriations are processed effectively and without delay.

How can I apply for maternity cover? Are there any special conditions ?

We offer a top level of maternity cover :
Maternity can be purchased with the Omega and Serenity plans.
Maternity Plans are available to couples and families i.e. a spouse/partner must also be insured under the policy. Please note that we do not discriminate against same sex couples.
Please be advised that all Maternity Plans are subject to a waiting period of 10 months. A waiting period is a period of time commencing on your policy start date (or effective date if you are a dependant), during which you are not entitled to cover for particular benefits.

How can I apply for dental cover? Are there any special conditions ?

Dental Plan can only be purchased if Omega or Serenity plans have been selected.
Serenity plan offers a higher level of reimboursement.

Are pre-existing or chronic conditions covered under individual policies ?

Cover is subject to full medical underwriting which may lead to exclusions or surcharges in relation to chronic/pre-existing conditions. Our Underwriting team will review each application on a case by case basis. Allianz Worldwide Care reserves the right to decide on the acceptance of your application.

What are your most comprehensive plans and your entry-level plans ?

Where can I find the Hospital, Doctor and Health Practitioner Finder?

This can be found on our website: www.allianzworldwidecare.com.
It allows you to search for hospitals, clinics, doctors and specialists on a country by country basis, with the ability to narrow down the search to specific regions and cities. Users can also search under medical practitioner categories, e.g. Internal Medicine, as well as on specialism, e.g. General Surgery, Neurosurgery or Traumatology etc.
Please contact us for pre-authorization in advance of in-patient treatment.
Please note that you are not restricted to using the providers listed in this directory, unless your policy is associated with a specific network of medical providers, in which case this will have been specified at policy inception.

If I am travelling outside my area of cover, am I covered ?

All plans include an ‘Emergency treatment outside area of cover’ benefit, whereby you and your dependants will be covered for emergencies only which occur during business and holiday trips outside of your chosen area of cover (where relevant), up to the benefit limit specified in your chosen plan.
Cover is provided up to a maximum period of six weeks per trip within the maximum benefit amount.
You will not be covered for any curative or follow-up non-emergency treatment, even if deemed unable to travel to a country within your geographical area of cover.
